College Success is a three-credit orientation course designed to assist incoming students make a successful transition from previous pursuits to the demands and culture of college life. The curriculum at Bridges Christians College is demanding. This Freshman Seminar introduces students to the elevated expectations integral to collegiate success. Students are given the opportunity to exercise both commitment and discipline as they investigate learning styles, develop strategies for a personal study system, review the basics of English composition, improve proficiency in the Turabian citation methodology, strengthen computing skills, practice effective time allocation and activity management, explore the academic impact of sound nutritional choices and recognize the importance of financial integrity to college success.
